01Do I need a 3D file to get started?
No. You can start with a sketch, a photo, or a clear description and dimensions. We’ll review whether modeling is needed and include that work in the quote. A photo or PDF does not automatically become a print-ready model.
02What file types can I send?
STL, OBJ, and 3MF are useful for printable models. STEP, STP, and other CAD files can be reviewed for conversion. PDF drawings and JPG or PNG references help explain an idea. Use the project form for details and a file link, or email files to info@3dnearyou.com.
03How much does 3D printing cost?
Every project is quoted individually. Size, material, print time, quantity, modeling, finishing, and shipping all affect the price. We confirm the scope and price before production.
04Can you print from architectural PDF plans?
Yes, we can review them as a starting point. The plans first need to be translated into a printable 3D model. Send the relevant plans, preferred scale, finished size, and details that matter most.
05Do you offer rush or same-day work?
Ask about rush availability when you submit your project. Same-day production may be possible for selected approved files, depending on size, complexity, material, and current capacity. Your quote confirms the production and shipping schedule.
06Do you ship outside Brooklyn?
Yes. We quote nationwide U.S. shipping. Include your delivery ZIP code and deadline so production, packing, and transit can be planned together. Shipping transit is separate from production time.
07Which materials and colors are available?
We focus on plastic 3D printing. PLA and PETG are common starting points, with final material and color availability confirmed for each project. Tell us about appearance, temperature, flexibility, and handling requirements.
08Are the images on this website completed projects?
The service images are clearly labeled AI-generated concept examples to show possible applications. They are not photographs of completed customer work.
