Learn with 3D.
Lesson sets for every subject, 3D printed to order. Teachers can hold a model up in class. Schools can order a single set or a full class set of 30, shipped straight to the school in 3D Near You packaging.
Every picture on this page is rendered from the same 3D file that gets printed - never a stock photo of a different object. Where a set is simplified, the caption says so.
These sets are previews from our print lab: each one is being test-printed and priced before it goes on sale, so prices shown are proposed, not final. Want first dibs for your school or district? Email info@3dnearyou.com and we will save you a spot.
History and civics
Hold the Founding Era in your hands.

George Washington set
A marble portrait bust of Washington, scanned by the Smithsonian, plus a puzzle of the original thirteen states drawn on modern state outlines. Teachers can pass the bust around during a lesson. Students rebuild the map and talk about why the colonies sat where they did. The bust ships with a closed back and a flat base.
Bust: Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery NPG.70.4, 3D scan released CC0 (si.edu object page), reproduced with a courtesy credit. Map: Natural Earth state outlines, public domain. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Geography
Learn where everything is by building it.

U.S. states puzzle
The lower 48 states as raised puzzle pieces, each a different color. Great for map skills, state names and capitals, and regions. Alaska and Hawaii will be offered as an add-on set. Island chains are simplified in this preview and in the print.
Natural Earth state outlines, public domain. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Math
Hands-on sets for elementary math.

Fraction tiles
One whole, then halves through twelfths, each denomination in its own color. Students line them up to see equivalent fractions and compare sizes.
Original design by 3D Near You, no third-party rights. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.

Base-ten blocks
Ones, tens, hundreds and a thousand cube for place value, regrouping and operations. Class sets of 30 are quoted separately.
Original design by 3D Near You, no third-party rights. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.

Geometric solids
Cube, rectangular prism, sphere, hemisphere, cylinder, cone, square pyramid, triangular prism, a faceted ball and a torus. Count faces, edges and vertices by hand.
Basic geometric shapes, original design by 3D Near You. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Science
See what is too small to see.

DNA double helix
A double helix with backbones and base-pair rungs, built with the right-handed twist and about ten base pairs per turn. A simplified teaching model: every rung is the same, so it does not show A, T, C and G. Not a molecular scan.
Original design by 3D Near You from the published B-DNA geometry. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.

Molecule kit
Ball-and-stick models with the real bond angles: bent water, straight carbon dioxide, tetrahedral methane and pyramidal ammonia. Standard atom colors. Shown as one-piece models.
Original design by 3D Near You from textbook molecular geometry. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Engineering and physics
Learn how machines work by turning them.

Gear trio
Three spur gears that mesh. Students measure gear ratios and watch speed trade against force. Simple straight-sided teeth, not involute; the final version ships after a test print confirms the mesh. Peg board not included yet.
Original design by 3D Near You. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Earth and space
The solar system, sized honestly.

Planets to scale
Every planet printed at its true relative diameter: Earth is a marble next to Jupiter, and Mercury really is that tiny. Line them up, order them, and feel how small our rock is. Diameters are to scale; distances are not - that lesson would not fit in the school.
Original models by 3D Near You. Sizes from NASA-published planet diameters (facts, not copyrightable). Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Life science
Ancient oceans in the palm of your hand.

Fossil pair: ammonite + trilobite
Two of the most famous fossils, built for passing around while you talk about creatures older than dinosaurs. The ammonite shell spirals like the real thing; the trilobite shows its head, body segments and tail. Stylized teaching models, not museum scans.
Original designs by 3D Near You, modeled from public fossil references. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Art
Symmetry you can stamp.

Radial symmetry stamps
Six stamp patterns with 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 12-fold symmetry. Press them into paint or clay, rotate, repeat - students discover radial symmetry and patterning by making art they want to keep. Shown stamp-side up; handles are on the back.
Original designs by 3D Near You. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Music
Physics you can play.

Tuned bar xylophone, C major
Eight bars, one octave of C major. Bar lengths follow the physics of vibrating bars, so students can measure, predict which bar sounds lower, then test it by playing a song. Plastic bars ring close to each note but are not concert-tuned; the lesson covers why.
Original design by 3D Near You from published acoustics of free bars. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Reading
Letters you can feel.

Alphabet tiles
Every letter with its shape raised so fingers can trace it. Letter naming, upper and lowercase matching, sorting, and building first CVC words - all hands-on. Letters are raised 1.5 mm so students can feel them.
Original tiles; letters set in DejaVu Sans (free license, commercial use allowed). Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Health
See inside a tooth.

Tooth cross-section
A half-tooth that shows the white enamel shell, the dentin underneath, and the soft pulp at the core. The perfect prop for the brushing-and-sugar talk. Simplified three-layer model, not anatomical imaging.
Original design by 3D Near You from textbook tooth anatomy. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
Computer science
Binary you can hold.

Binary flip blocks
Eight blocks for the eight binary places. Flip blocks forward to add their value and build any number from 0 to 255, then play human-binary-counter games. No screen required - that is the point.
Original design by 3D Near You. Preview rendered from the actual print file. Colors are filament choices.
More sets are in the works
Museum replicas join the catalog once each one has a real print preview and verified rights, and every subject above keeps growing.
